For many smokers the cost of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products is a barrier to quitting. The STOP Study provides 5 WEEKS OF FREE NRT PATCH, an educational presentation and self-help materials to support the smoker to make a quit attempt. STOP Study staff will follow-up with participants after the study to find out about their quit attempt.
The STOP Study is conducted by the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, in partnership with Region of Waterloo Public Health, and is funded by the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care as part of the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy. For more information about the STOP Study go to https://www.nicotinedependenceclinic.com/English/stop/Pages/Home.aspx or call (416)-535-8501 ext. 4455.
